Cooking Instruction

Cooking Instructions (Stovetop Method – Pot Cooking)
Prepare a rich and flavorful Jollof dish using a traditional pot method for an authentic taste.

What You’ll Need:
⦁ 200g Pinnick Instant Party Jollof Powder Blend
⦁ ½ cup cooking oil
⦁ 1 ½ cups water or broth
⦁ 6 cups uncooked washed rice (1 cup = 240ml)
⦁ Optional: Protein (chicken, shrimp, or beef) & vegetables.

Steps:

    1. Heat the Pot:
      Place a pot over medium heat and add cooking oil for about 2-3 minutes.
    2. Sauté Aromatics:
      (Optional) Add diced onions and cook until soft and fragrant.
    3. Add Pinnick Instant Jollof Powder Blend:
      Pour Pinnick Instant Party Jollof Blend into a bowl and mix with water until it becomes a paste. Stir the Paste into the oil and let the spices release their aroma for about 2-3 minutes.
    4. Pour in Liquid:
      Add water and bring to a boil.
    5. Add Rice & Simmer:
      Stir in the washed rice, reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20–25 minutes.
    6. Check & Stir:
      Occasionally stir to prevent sticking. Add a little more liquid if needed.
    7. Fluff & Serve:
      Once the rice is tender and has absorbed the flavors, fluff with a fork and serve hot!

      Alternatively, if you prefer not to fry the mix, you can wash or parboil the rice, then add the Pinnick Instant Party Jollof Blend. Stir it into the washed or parboiled rice, then add half a cup of cooking oil (or as needed), pour in enough water, and bring to a boil. After that, follow steps 6 and 7 above.

NOTE: To cook less amount of rice,  use less blend as required.
